2011 was a disappointing year for peppers here. Oh sure we enjoyed the 4 peppers we got but with over 20 plants, you can see the year wasn't a pepper success. 2012 has been spectacular. We are growing 2 varieties. We are freezing some and I get to eat peppers daily. Yum!
The Padron Peppers are a wonderful treat sauteed and topped with a hint of coarse sea salt. They are thin skinned and full flavored. Every now and then one will surprise you with a punch of heat but they are generally fairly mild. They grow abundantly so I am looking forward to a long season of savoring Padron Peppers.

Our peppers are doing better this year as well. Stepped into my girlfriends garden and said, "OMG," look at the size of her peppers. Honestly, one was the size of a small ball....she really needs to take a picture!!!
Hi Ruby in the Garden,
My name is Tina Jin, the community manager for a new blogger community called Garden Gab (www.atomicreach.com/tribe/gardengab). This is a feed powered by Atomic Reach that features bloggers writing about gardening worldwide. This community will focus on tips, advice and personal stories on the subject. I want this Garden Gab community to be a place where expert advice and tips are consolidated in one place for beginner (like myself) and experienced gardeners.
If you decide to join, Garden Gab will publish the title of your blog posts and the first few sentences of each post. If readers want to read the full story, they’ll be pushed to your blog and give you traffic. These readers will be people who share the same passion and interests as you, which is the sole purpose of the community.
If you’re interested in joining our community, please e-mail me back at tinajin @ atomicreach.com with “Gardening” in the subject line. If you have any questions, I would be more than happy to answer them.
Sincerely,
Tina

Hello my fellow Wisconsinite. I've never heard of Padron Peppers before but am taking note of them for next year. I grew some Habanero
Peppers with my grandson...his idea. Found a recipe for Habanero/Pineapple BBQ sauce and it turned out pretty good. He was proud of it. I should blog about it, but then I should blog about a lot of things because I haven't blogged for 4 or 5 months.
Happy Halloween.
I also enjoy reading the comments, but notice that a lot of people should stay on topic to try and add value to the original blog post. awriter.org
I would also encourage everyone to bookmark this page to your favorite service to help spread the word. I'll use this information for my essay topics.
