No storing for mine either though. I am SO looking forward to spring. Any thoughts on the potatoes you will grow this year? What kind of yields do you get? Any advise on getting more potatoes from my garden would be greatly appreciated!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09582157624382487302noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321864236365403923.post-33624954274817615982010-01-17T19:03:49.182-06:002010-01-17T19:03:49.182-06:00YUMMeee, we are potato people too.YUMMeee, we are potato people too.Lauriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12204423362871287944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321864236365403923.post-52971774376586292802010-01-17T15:52:14.175-06:002010-01-17T15:52:14.175-06:00Thanks for the potato review! Although some do end up in a raised bed, we especially like to grow them in cloth "Smart Pots" or other containers. It is nice to be able to just empty the container into a wheelbarrow, go treasure hunting for the spuds and then dump the soil into a compost pile. It's a nice no dig method.

Although we don't follow a strict 100 mile diet, we like to buy directly from local farmers when possible and grow as much as we can in our yard.

We WILL NOT be strict about the 100 mile diet until the day someone figures out how to grow coffee in Wisconsin :)Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06366265723756163595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321864236365403923.post-114392424885369762010-01-16T07:26:31.794-06:002010-01-16T07:26:31.794-06:00Are you saying that all potatoes DON'T come fr...Are you saying that all potatoes DON'T come from the grocery store? That you can actually grow them in a garden. Kidding, of course.

This post makes me want to run outside and start digging a garden so that I can plant potatoes.

Although I'm very familiar with eating local, I'd not heard of the Hundred Mile Diet. Will check it out. Thanks for all the good information.

donnadonnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06950476333013336671noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321864236365403923.post-20212648780296547432010-01-16T06:58:48.729-06:002010-01-16T06:58:48.729-06:00wow great gardening blog, making my hungry. :-)wow great gardening blog, making my hungry. :-)MrDaveyGiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08761064063470978028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321864236365403923.post-88547379798738742752010-01-16T05:29:21.869-06:002010-01-16T05:29:21.869-06:00*sniff**sniff*TSOTEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09393700603169574150noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5321864236365403923.post-43949582027455773482010-01-15T23:31:34.082-06:002010-01-15T23:31:34.082-06:00Wow, thanks for potato information.
